Geneva Airport Park Sleep Fly

Geneva Airport (GVA, Genève Aéroport) has four official car parks, and most of the hotels nearby publish a daily parking rate. This guide sets out the official rates, compares them with hotel parking, and explains what a park, sleep and fly night at Geneva does and does not include.

Official airport car parks and rates

The airport’s own car parks, with rates from gva.ch:

  • P1, covered, direct access to the terminal, 2,600 spaces: CHF 38 a day, CHF 197 a week. Online booking fee CHF 20. Maximum vehicle height 2 m.
  • P20, the French sector car park via the customs road from Ferney-Voltaire, 214 spaces: CHF 38 a day, CHF 197 a week.
  • P26, economy, 850 spaces, 8 to 10 minutes’ walk: CHF 30 a day, CHF 132 a week, CHF 237 for two weeks. Booking fee CHF 10.
  • P51, economy long stay, outdoor, 1,100 spaces with 13 EV chargers, served by a shuttle bus: CHF 30 a day, CHF 132 a week, CHF 237 for two weeks. Booking fee CHF 10.

Online booking (ResaPark) covers P1, P26 and P51 only, with an entry tolerance of two hours before and four after the booked time. P4 is the rideshare pick-up level used by Uber, not a long-stay car park, and no P3 appears on the airport’s current list. Palexpo’s P12 car park (1,500 spaces, open 24 hours) is the one the ibis Styles uses.

Hotel parking compared

The Mövenpick Hotel Geneva, ibis Genève Aéroport and Mercure Geneva Airport have on-site parking but do not publish a price; booking sites show CHF 20 to 29 a night. Confirm with the hotel.

Per day, the Holiday Inn Express, ibis Styles and Crowne Plaza are all below the CHF 30 of P26 and P51. Per week, P26 and P51 are cheaper: seven days at CHF 20 to 30 is CHF 140 to 210, against CHF 132 at P26 or P51.

Park, sleep and fly: what exists at Geneva

None of the ten hotels published a park-and-fly package (a room plus parking for the length of the trip at one price) as of September 2026. Whether a hotel will let a car stay for a week after a one-night stay, and at what rate, is not on any official page, so ask before booking.

At Geneva, park, sleep and fly works in two steps: sleep at a hotel near the terminal the night before an early flight, then either leave the car at the hotel if it agrees to a rate, or drive to P26 or P51 in the morning and take the P51 shuttle or the 8- to 10-minute walk from P26. The Nash, Hilton, Crowne Plaza and Marriott combine a published daily parking rate with a free shuttle whose first run is between 4:00 am and 4:30 am.

French-side parking

Passengers using the French sector in Pier F park at P20, reached only by the customs road from Ferney-Voltaire, with no pedestrian route to the Swiss side. The Ferney tunnel night closures from 5 July 2026 (10:00 pm to 5:00 am) do not affect P20, though drivers heading from Ferney to the Swiss side of the terminal at night are diverted via Vireloup or Mategnin.

Which is cheaper for a week, airport parking or a hotel car park?

For the parking alone, P26 or P51 at CHF 132 a week is cheaper than seven nights at any published hotel rate (CHF 140 at the Holiday Inn Express, CHF 210 at the Hilton, Marriott or Nash). A hotel car park is cheaper for a week only with a reduced weekly rate, and none of the hotels publishes one.
