Family Hotels at Geneva Airport - Pool, Suites and Shuttles

Four of the ten hotels at Geneva Airport (GVA, Genève Aéroport) have the facilities families most often ask about: Hilton Geneva Hotel & Conference Centre has an indoor pool, NH Geneva Airport has junior suites and family rooms, and Geneva Marriott Hotel and Crowne Plaza Geneva have family or multi-room suites and several places to eat. Hilton: the only pool at the airport

Hilton Geneva Hotel & Conference Centre is directly across Route François-Peyrot from Palexpo, a 10- to 12-minute walk to the terminal by third-party measurement, with a free shuttle every 20 minutes from 4:20 am to 11:40 pm. It has the only indoor pool among the airport hotels, a fitness centre and spa, and the OXBO Geneva restaurant. With 496 rooms it is by far the largest hotel here. Breakfast is a paid buffet with hours not published. Covered parking is CHF 30 a day.

NH: junior suites on the Meyrin side

NH Geneva Airport on Avenue de Mategnin in Meyrin has 190 rooms including 18 junior suites and family rooms of 36 sq.m. The hotel is on the far side of the runway, not walkable to the terminal; a free shuttle serves the airport and Palexpo, though no timetable is published (booking platforms describe it as every 30 minutes). Le Pavillon restaurant and the B4 Bar are on site, and the fourth-floor gym and sauna are free. Indoor parking is CHF 24 for 12 hours or CHF 31 for 24 hours. Breakfast hours are not published.

Marriott and Crowne Plaza: size and dining

Geneva Marriott Hotel has 263 rooms on Chemin du Ruisseau, 1.3 km from the airport by the hotel’s figure, with a free shuttle every 20 minutes from 4:30 am to midnight, Moments - Social Eatery, the Suite 1201 rooftop bar and a 24-hour fitness centre; no pool. Parking is CHF 30 a day. Crowne Plaza Geneva has 366 rooms on Avenue Louis-Casaï, about 600 m from the terminal by third-party measurement, with a free shuttle from 4:30 am to 11:45 pm, four places to eat (Seventy5, Le Bar, Le Jardin for breakfast and brunch, and a fondue chalet), 24-hour room service and a fitness centre; no pool. Parking is CHF 2 an hour or CHF 24 a day.

We found no published children’s breakfast rate or family-room policy for any of the four, so ask when booking. Holiday Inn Express Geneva Airport includes breakfast in every rate, served 6:30 am to 10:00 am; it has no pool.

Shuttle timing with children

The terminal closes overnight: no scheduled departures between midnight and 6:00 am, the last arrivals land up to about 12:30 am and the building then closes until about 4:00 am. Hilton (from 4:20 am) and Marriott (from 4:30 am) run every 20 minutes, and Crowne Plaza starts at 4:30 am. For a 6:30 am flight with a pushchair, take a shuttle at about 5:00 am rather than walking. The railway station is under the terminal, a 5-minute walk from check-in. Hotel guests receive the free Geneva Transport Card, sent by email up to three days before arrival, which covers public transport from the airport to the hotel and tpg buses and trams, trains and the Mouettes boats in zone 10 for the whole stay; without it a single ticket is CHF 3.00.

Outings: Palexpo and CERN

Palexpo is a 10-minute walk from the terminal and across the road from the Hilton.
